Download the App
Get BuildMySwim from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.

Sign Up or Sign In
Create a new account with your email or sign in with Google. Your data syncs across all devices.

Complete Your Profile
Tell us about your swimming experience, goals, and preferences for personalized workouts.
Pro Tip: Your BuildMySwim account works on both the iOS app and web app at buildmyswim.com. All your workouts and data sync automatically!
Session Builder
The Session Builder is your AI-powered workout generator. Simply describe what you want, and our AI creates a complete, structured swim session.
How to Create a Workout

Describe Your Session
Type what you want in the chat box. For example: "2000m endurance workout" or "Sprint training with technique drills".

Review the Workout
The AI generates a complete workout with warm-up, main sets, and cool-down. Review the details including distances, times, and instructions.

Save or Modify
Save the workout to your library, or ask the AI to make changes like "make it shorter" or "add more backstroke".

- "Drill-focused workout for freestyle technique"

Managing Workouts
All your generated workouts are saved to your personal library for easy access anytime.
Workout Library
Access your saved workouts from the clipboard icon in the top navigation bar. Your workouts are sorted by date with the most recent first.
Workout Details
Each workout shows:
- Total Distance - The complete distance of the session
- Duration - Estimated time to complete
- Focus - The main training focus (endurance, speed, technique, etc.)
- Difficulty - Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced
- Sections - Warm-up, main sets, and cool-down with detailed intervals
Sharing Workouts
Tap the share button on any workout to share it with friends, coaches, or your swim club. Workouts can be shared as formatted text or images.
Events & Timeline
Trial
Plan your swimming calendar with events, races, and training milestones.
Adding Events
Chat with Tuna, your AI swim coach, to add swim meets, races, and training events to your calendar. Simply describe the event:

Timeline View
The Timeline shows your events and workouts organized by date. Events are highlighted in orange, while workouts appear in blue. Tap any item for full details.
Pro Tip: Tuna can help you plan training around your events. Just tell him about your goals and he'll suggest appropriate preparation!
Activities & Analytics
Track your completed swims and analyze your performance over time.
Viewing Activities
Access your activity history from the swimming figure icon in the top navigation. Activities synced from Garmin or manually logged appear here.

Pace Analysis: Average pace per 100m
Heart Rate: If available from your device
Stroke Data: Stroke count and efficiency
Swim Clock
A simple, easy-to-read pace clock for your poolside training sessions.
Large Display: Easy to read from the pool with high-contrast numbers
Start/Stop: Simple controls to start, pause, and reset
Interval Alerts: Set alerts for your rest intervals
Screen Lock: Keeps the screen on while you swim
Tip: Keep your phone in a waterproof case or bag when using poolside.

Garmin Integration
Connect your Garmin device to sync workouts directly to your watch and import completed activities.
Connecting Your Garmin

Go to Settings
Tap the gear icon and select "Garmin Connection".

Authorize BuildMySwim
Sign in to your Garmin Connect account and authorize the connection.

Start Syncing
Your Garmin is now connected! Send workouts to your watch and import activities automatically.
Send to Device
From any workout, tap "Send to Garmin" to push the structured workout to your watch. The workout appears in Garmin Connect and syncs to your device.
Pro Tip: Make sure your Garmin watch is synced with Garmin Connect before your swim to ensure the workout is available on your device.
Account & Settings
Manage your profile, preferences, and subscription from the Settings screen.

- Personal Info - Name, email, and profile picture
- Swimming Profile - Experience level, goals, and preferred strokes
